Jerry is retiring!

We said a fond “see you later” to our longest-running employee this week when Jerry Lancaster officially retired. Jerry’s relationship with LAC began decades ago at The Cleveland Home and he is responsible for much of the lasting infrastructure that LAC enjoys today. We will certainly miss this quiet, humble, funny and immensely talented man.
In honor of his service to Life Adventure Center, we have named the lake after him, and a sign bearing his name has been added. Please join us in wishing Jerry a wonderful retirement!

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays from Life Adventure Center! Our office will be closed through December 28th. We hope you and your families are safe and well, and that you’re able to find moments of magic and wonder in this truly unpredictable year. We remain grateful for your friendship and support this year — we are truly blessed to work with such incredible participants, partner organizations, board members, and each other. Looking forward to hopefully seeing you all in person again in 2021!

Thank You!

Children Looking at Sparks
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your outpouring of support during this year’s Life Adventure Center Giving Week. So many of you gave gifts, liked and shared our social media posts and videos, and told others about the work we are doing here at LAC. We are truly grateful for our community of supporters, and for the work you do in sharing our story.
Because of your generosity, we were able to raise $12,479 which goes directly to scholarships for trauma-affected populations to access our programs here at Life Adventure Center.
The groups we are able to work with will receive our transformational programming – building their resilience and self-regulation to change not only the trajectory of their lives but also that of their family and community.
We couldn’t do it without you and your generous support. Thank you again.

Life Adventure Center Giving Week

This week kicks off #givingtuesday, a global movement that unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.

Here at Life Adventure Center, this week is also when we will ask our supporters and friends to consider making a gift to the work we do here at LAC – to allow us to continue the work we do in our community of giving people affected by trauma the tools to change their lives.

Will you make a gift today?

Your gift of $100 provides a youth participant with a full day of programming at LAC — and a gift of $50 covers half a day of that same programming. Give now!

Your gift of $250 supports a week’s worth of camp supplies – greatly increasing your impact! Give now!

Your gift of $500 fully funds a mobile resilience programming unit – allowing us to serve up to thirty youth participants. Give now!

If you’re able, your gift of $1,000 provides a year-long scholarship to a child affected by trauma, including a week of summer camp, and mobile units throughout the year. Give now!

We know this is a hard year for many, so if you’re not in a position to make a gift, please consider sharing this page or the LAC story with your friends and family. We know that we will get through this together, by supporting each other!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We wanted to take a moment to thank all of our friends, volunteers, and supporters for helping keep us on track during what could have otherwise been a tumultuous year.
Because of your generosity we innovated our offerings to truly serve our mission of transforming lives affected by trauma and building more resilient people for a better world.
We are grateful for you and we hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
