Michael Jones has worked as an economist for over twenty-five years forecasting the expenditure requirements of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Michael holds a doctorate in Economics from Clemson University and  a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech. In addition to serving on the board of Life Adventure Center, Michael is the treasurer of four Kentucky non-profit organizations. He and his wife of 25 years, Ligia, live in Lexington and have a daughter. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and sailing with friends and family, and mountain biking as often as possible.
