    Sometimes when we want to make a change in our liv Sometimes when we want to make a change in our lives, we want to have a clear end goal in mind before we start. But often that can keep us from beginning our path toward goal, as we wait for it to be perfect, or fully developed. 

Think of something in your life you want to improve, and take the next right step in the direction of that goal. The steps after may not present themselves until you do.

    Clean up efforts have begun at Life Adventure Cent Clean up efforts have begun at Life Adventure Center! We are still assessing the damage but our hay barn was completely destroyed, there was extensive damage to our challenge course, and there is other minor property damage as well as numerous limbs down around the properties. As you can imagine, we will need the support of our incredible community moving forward so we can continue to offer our resilience building programming to groups across Central Kentucky. We are currently working on a list of anticipated volunteer needs and will know more about possible additional needs in the coming days.
    On this week's Wednesday Wellness moment, we're go On this week's Wednesday Wellness moment, we're going to talk about gratitude. 

Intentionally thinking about the things you are grateful for, whether you write them down, speak them aloud to those you appreciate, or just think about them for yourself, has a real measurable positive impact on your happiness, your levels of stress, and your mental well-being.

There is real science behind this - practicing gratitude stimulates two areas of our brains: the hypothalamus, which regulates stress, and the ventral tegmental area, which plays a significant role in the brain’s reward system that produces feelings of pleasure. 

Today (on this beautiful Central Kentucky day!) we invite you to pause and reflect on things you are grateful for - large and small. And if you're so moved -- reach out to someone you're grateful for today, maybe a neighbor, a friend, or a colleague -- and feel free to share in the comments!
