Care for survivors of human trafficking.

Refuge for Women is a non-profit, faith-based organization providing specialized long-term care for women who have escaped human trafficking or sexual exploitation. One of the most empowering activities we have been able to do with the Refuge residents is equine-assisted learning. Our skilled facilitators work closely with small groups of these women, from equine activities that build trust, and help the women work together and learn to lean on and support each other, as they try to do their best and get the most out of their time at LAC.
