Preparing high school students for life.

Safe Harbor is an alternative high school whose mission is to prepare all students to strive for excellence through rigorous instruction and support to become college, career, and life ready citizens. The program team at Life Adventure Center works closely with the young adults at Safe Harbor with programs specifically designed to increase their resilience, positive coping skills, ability to engage in healthy communication, self-efficacy, and to build tolerance to stress. During the school year, we see groups from Safe Harbor on a monthly basis, both on-site at LAC and through mobile units at their facility. Our impact can be felt in and out of the classroom, with one student from Safe Harbor reporting recently that he knew the skills he learned at LAC would help him in his future employment and relationships.
