Rachel Rubino

Philanthropy and Community Engagement Manager

Rachel Rubino is the Philanthropy and Community Engagement Manager at Life Adventure Center, where she brings together her passion for helping people become their best selves with a deep belief in the healing, grounding power of nature. Her work is rooted in the idea that meaningful change begins with connection—both to others and to the land.
At Life Adventure Center, Rachel leads philanthropic initiatives and community outreach efforts that support resilience-building through outdoor experiential learning. With a background in event management, nonprofit development, and relationship-building, she creates authentic engagement opportunities that align with the organization’s mission and values.
A proud Kentuckian, Rachel draws inspiration from the landscapes and people of her home state. She is especially moved by the writings of Wendell Berry, whose reflections on nature, stewardship, and community mirror her own beliefs about how we grow—together and in place.
Before joining Life Adventure Center, Rachel worked in leadership roles at Transylvania University, The Kentucky Castle, and served as an AmeriCorp Vista, where she specialized in creating intentional experiences that foster connection and impact.
Rachel earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Kentucky. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys discovering local art, curating unique events, going for walks with her dog, and finding new ways to bring people together.
