Timothy D. Magill, M.S., C.T.P.
Executive Director
Originally from Arizona, Tim moved to Kentucky in 2012 to “take the reins” here at LAC, enticed by the unique opportunity to help LAC develop as Kentucky’s first Adventure Therapy center. He is passionate about the healing impact outdoor experiences have on trauma recovery. Having devoted 40 years to outdoor education, Tim’s background includes prior positions as a camp counselor, lifeguard, archery instructor, riflery instructor, desert survival instructor, horsemanship instructor, certified overnight horseback guide and rodeo coach. His later career found Tim serving in various administrative positions: school and camp horsemanship director, business owner, camp director, development officer, school administrator, two separate tenures as executive director, and as a member of multiple non-profit boards. He holds a master’s degree in Leisure and Environmental Resources Administration as well as numerous other professional certifications. He lives in Versailles with his wife of over 35 years. Their daughter also moved to Versailles and works in the equine veterinary industry. When not indulging his passions for travel and voracious reading, Tim can usually be found in our woods, on horseback and in the company of his two best friends: a quarter-horse named “Maui” and a cattle dog named “Rosie.”
